  • A written contract will be provided and must be signed by both parties before any work begins.
  • Verbal agreements are not binding. Only written, signed contracts constitute an agreement for services.

4. Project Agreements and Contracts

  • All remodeling projects require a signed written contract detailing the scope of work, materials, timeline, and total project cost.
  • Any changes to the agreed scope of work must be documented in a written change order signed by both parties.
  • EZ Basement Remodeling LLC reserves the right to decline any project at its discretion.

5. Payment Terms

  • Payment terms will be outlined in the signed project contract.
  • A deposit may be required prior to the commencement of work as specified in the contract.
  • Final payment is due upon project completion unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • We do not collect payment information through our website. All payment arrangements are handled directly between the client and EZ Basement Remodeling LLC.
  • Past due balances may be subject to interest and collection fees as permitted under Illinois law.

6. Permits and Code Compliance

  • EZ Basement Remodeling LLC will obtain all required permits for your project as mandated by Lake County and local municipal building codes.
  • All work performed by EZ Basement Remodeling LLC will meet or exceed applicable Illinois building codes and standards.
  • The client is responsible for providing accurate property information necessary for permit applications.

7. Client Responsibilities

To ensure a smooth project, clients agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about the property and project requirements
  • Ensure reasonable access to the work area during scheduled project hours
  • Notify us promptly of any concerns or changes to the project scope
  • Secure or remove personal belongings from the work area prior to commencement

8. Warranties

  • EZ Basement Remodeling LLC stands behind its workmanship. Specific warranty terms will be outlined in your signed project contract.
  • Manufacturer warranties on materials and fixtures are passed through to the client where applicable.
  • Warranties do not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, unauthorized modifications, or acts of nature.
